As a Blackburn church school, we share and promote the Diocesan Vision for Schools (2018) that our children will have the opportunity to:

- Love their neighbour and seek to serve them, to bring justice and to embrace both sacrifice and service
- Understand the life-long transformational effect of God for individuals, communities and nations
Cathedral Links – Mrs Haigh’s appointment as an Honorary Lay Canon to the Cathedral
In March 2026, Mrs Haigh was installed as an Honorary Canon at Blackburn Cathedral. This appointment was made by Bishop Philip in recognition of her long-term service to the Diocese as Headteacher of St Gabriel’s school. She will join the ‘Chapter of Canons’ at the Cathedral.
