Throughout the school year the children are involved in a busy sporting calendar. These events often take place after school and allow the children to test their sporting skills against other schools.
Autumn term
- Football – matches for the school team and a knock-out cup competition – the Jubilee Shield
- Netball – a Blackburn schools tournament
- Cross Country – the first of the three races
- Tag Rugby – tournament at Blackburn Rugby Club Y5 & Y 6
Spring term
- Football matches for the school team
- Cross country – the second and third of the races
- Indoor athletics tournament Y6
- Infant indoor athletics tournament Y2
- Y4 gymnastics competition
Summer term
- Any remaining football fixtures
- Outdoor athletics tournament
- Cricket fixtures
